Dennis Hutchings Tribute

I am heartbroken by the loss of Dennis not only as a friend but as the Patron of the Military Veterans Creative Arts. 

Dennis was a perfect gentleman and one of the kindest men I have ever met. His resilience to what he believed in was outstanding. He was genuine, trustworthy, morally good and morally right. Dennis will continue to be an inspiration to us all. He leaves behind incredible legacies, and his principles will live on in us all. Dennis will be loved and remembered always.

My thoughts go out to all of Dennis’s family and friends.

Rest in Peace Dennis. Gone From Our Sight, But Never Our Hearts.

“I’ll Try To Remember’ A Tribute to Dennis Hutchings. 

The song ‘I’ll Try To Remember’, released 2020, came about after Suzie and her associate Simon spent some time with Dennis in Padstow summer of 2020. Between them they gathered quite an extensive amount of information, about his career, his vast experience and the extensive knowledge he had gathered over his lifetime. 

The information from that meeting went on to form this dedicated to Dennis song ‘I’ll Try To Remember’.

Suzie felt very inspired by Dennis, admiring his morals and the way he cares about people. She decided to adhere to those ethics as a basis in all her personal decision life decisions for the future. 

As most successful song writers will tell you, putting all ones feelings and efforts into a song can be a very emotional experience and apart from being physically exhausting, it can be somewhat challenging.

So in order to take advantage of such experience Suzie decided to book in some sessions with her long standing song writing coach ‘Jane Taylor’, eventually asking her for help in putting the words and the music together and most of all, outlining just how she felt about her memory of Dennis.

The result was ‘I’ll Try To Remember’ a lovely song with a haunting melody and beautifully sung by Jane, whom Suzie admires with pride having worked with her for the past 7 years. 

Jane is a well known singer in her own right and has graciously given her time to the Military Veterans Creative Arts and the performance of this intriguing song.

The two songs in this video came about from that initial meeting with Dennis who played an active part in the production stages.

It was our intention that Dennis would one day sing along on a live performance but sadly Covid restrictions and other obligations mean’t this wasn’t to be.
