Free, Local, Prompt and Effective Support for Veterans’ Mental Health – and Families Too
PTSD Resolution is a leading UK Armed Forces’ charity providing free mental health therapy to traumatised Veterans, Reservists and their families.
The charity’s expertise is in mental health and trauma resolution, delivering professional support through a network of 200 therapists nationwide, and also online during the pandemic. Therapy is prompt, effective and confidential, with over 3,000 referrals to date. Please visit our site to download a copy of our Impact Report.
Therapy is delivered in an average of six sessions, with 78% of cases seeing an improvement in reported symptoms to where the client and therapist agree that no further therapy is required. The charity also provides support to meet social needs, and follows up with each client 3-6 months following the completion of therapy.

Trustee – PTSD Resolution
The charity is one of the only organisations that provides therapy to veterans who are also suffering with addiction issues or are in prison. Services are also delivered to family members, including partners and children, who may experience the symptoms of trauma from living with a traumatised veteran.
PTSD Resolution has a unique ‘lean’ operation, with no salaried staff or assets – funds are used to deliver therapy and carry out essential research, public information and communications.
The charity also delivers on-line Trauma Awareness Training, as a half or one-day course. This enables line managers, HR professionals and others to understand and recognise the symptoms of trauma and mental health problems, and to signpost staff members for therapy where appropriate.
PTSD Resolution seeks funding, partnering and other types of company engagement. In return it can offer mental health support, training, conference speakers and support for CSR and ESG programmes and the Armed Forces Covenant awards schemes.
